September 2017 Vegan Cuts Snack Box Review

September 25, 2017By 0 Comments

The Vegan Cuts Snack Box delivers 7-10 dee-lish vegan snackie treats (chips, cookies, popcorn, energy bars, beverages, you name it!) right to your door for $22.95/month (which is a crazy good deal & includes free U.S. shipping; Canada for $8, and worldwide for $15). This month’s goodie box was full of all kinds of yum. Take a peek for yourself (and if ya love what ya see, you can order yours here).

September 2017’s Vegan Cuts Snack Box Haul:

D’s Naturals No Cow Bar in Dark Raspberry Truffle and Fudge Brownie – A different flavor of these popped up in a previous VC snack box, and I was all about it. All of their flavors are pretty solid, they’re refined sugar-free (LOVE), and I dig the lil’ crunchy cocoa nibs, but the texture is a bit chalky. If you don’t mind protein powdery energy bars (which I’m fortunately a fan of, but I’m probably a weirdo in that regard), I think you’ll dig these. They’re low-calorie, tasty, and boast 21 grams of protein, which is pretty impressive.

The GFB Gluten Free Bites in Dark Chocolate Coconut – As much as I love slathering coconut oil on my bod, nails, and hair, when it comes to food stuffs, I’m pretty particular… not the biggest fan of its flavor as it’s pretty dominant. These lil’ chewy dark chocolate coconut bites were fun to eat, but I’m glad it was a 2pac shakur (pack of 2, haha), because it’s just toooo much coconut for me.

Karma Wrapped Cashews in Lime Twist – OMG, these are BOMB – fave item in the this month’s box fo’ sho! They’re packed with so much flavor, and they have a crunchy shell (natural skin), which makes them extra fun to eat. I devoured this snack and got sad when it was all gone. Will definitely be looking out for these in stores.

Enjoy Life Proburst Bites in Chocolate Sunseed Butter – These little protein balls taste like yummy, melt-in-your-mouth truffles – I totally wasn’t expecting that! This is another fave from this month’s VCSB haul. There are zero artificial ingredients or allergens, and they taste really, really good. It’s hard to not want to eat more than a few.

Vegan Rob’s Spinach and Matcha Kettle Chips – Vegan Rob’s has popped up a few times in the Vegan Cuts Snack Box, and I’m usually a HUGE fan, but this flavor of chips threw me off a bit. I was super intrigued by “spinach & matcha” but was a bit surprised to discover how sweet they were. I kind of prefer my tater chips to be more savory with a salty punch. Props to Vegan Rob’s for experimenting with interesting flavor combos, though.

R.E.D.D. Mint Chocolate Superfood Energy Bar – This was super yummy. I’ve always been a fan of chocolate + mint, and I lurrrve that this had straight up chocolate chips (and caffeine) in it. It was a nice sweet treat that I enjoyed in the midst of hardcore craving a sinful dessert. The result was a satisfied sweet tooth without the guilt.

Peanut Butter and Jelly R Bar – This reminded me of a Lara Bar, big time… it’s simply fruit + nuts, no added nothin’. It was tasty, but honestly, a bit too simple for my adventurous energy bar lovin’ self.

Betty Lou’s Chocolate Hazelnut Nuts about Energy Balls – This was dee-lish, and I love the chewy texture. It’s a bit similar to the R Bar in that it contains fruit and nuts but it has way more ingredients and a lot more flavor goin’ on.

The Soulfull Project Blueberry Almond Multigrain Hot Cereal – This convenient breakfast snack (ha, I say snack because I eat 3-5 times this amount for brekkies) is made with ancient grains, nuts, berries, and a touch of brain sugar. I found it to be quite tasty, just small on the portion side, haha (huge appetite problems).

MRM Natural Flavor Veggie Meal Replacement in Vanilla Bean – I received one of these in a previous snack box, and I used it while I was on a juice cleanse to squeeze in some protein (a small cheat, hehe). I simply mixed it with water, and it was tasty, satiating and totally hit the spot. I can only imagine how much better it would have been with some vanilla almond milk, though. I’m a fan.

Salad Power Just Veggies – I’m not super big on veggies (I know, I’m like, the lamest vegan evah), so I didn’t necessarily get excited when I saw this, and when I tried it, I was like, “Where’s the salt?” I think this would be waaaay better if they added even the slightest touch of salt. If you’re hella healthy and not a crazy salt fiend like myself, you’ll probably really dig this.

Taste Nirvana Real Coconut Water – I haven’t tried this out yet, but I’ve yet to meet a coconut water I didn’t like; they’re all pretty comparable. Excited to have this with lunch tomorrow. 🙂

Verdict: This month’s Vegan Cuts Snack Box was another big hit! I swear, snack boxes, especially this one (Vegan Cuts), make my heart pound like nothing else… GIMME ALL THE SNACKS!!! I’m always blown away by how many vegan-friendly brands that are out there that are completely new-to-me. I also dig how gluten-free friendly these boxes are. All but one item this month was gluten-free. Box faves include Karma Nuts (up there as one of my favorite snacks evarrr), the Enjoy Life Foods Chocolate Sunseed Protein balls (taste like truffles!), and the R.E.D.D. mint chocolate energy bar – so many energy bars this month, btw!!

What do you guys think of this month’s Vegan Cuts Snack Box? xx
